Acumen Builder Call

Receive expert tips for getting started, a risk mitigation checklist, helpful success strategies, and guidance to support you through challenges that arise.

1/2 Hour Consult - $100 (one 30 min session)
1 Hour Consult - $150 (up to two 30 min sessions)
2 Hour Consult - $200 (up to four 30 min sessions)

This consultation will set you up for success giving you the information you need to manage your project.

We recommend in advance of the call you prepare some brief notes on the following:

- How far along you are in the project: such as preliminary discussions on design, detailed design, bidding, under construction, etc.

- What you have liked about the processes so far and the things that you haven’t liked.

- List the top three things that you are concerned about not going as you would like on the project.

What you can expect on the call is a brief discussion around those items, with follow up questions to understand the items we should outline what to expect, items we should develop a checklist for, and prepare you for how to meet anticipated challenges. Things that we might offer explanations and recommendations on may include: contractor agreement language, how to establish and handle communications to set clear expectations, what questions you should be asking about their proposed design/construction schedule, what to look out for in the budget, how to handle difficult conversations., and many possible others.

What you can expect after the call is a follow up email that outlines all of the items we discussed with notes on our recommendations, and a customized checklist of risk mitigation steps we would recommend based on your primary concerns.

Builder Selection Support

Receive services including proposal review, contractor evaluation, construction plan review, budget assessment, value analysis, schedule verification, bidder expectations, and contract recommendations.

Builder Selection Support Package - $2,000 Includes a written assessment developed with in-depth analysis, up to six 30-minute project call sessions, and professional expertise for questions that arise during the builder selection process. This offering includes review of up to 3 potential builders.

Expanded Builder Selection Support Package - $3,500 Includes a written assessment developed with in-depth analysis, up to eight 30-minute project call sessions, and professional expertise for questions that arise during the builder selection process. This offering includes review of up to 3 potential builders, plus assessment of up to an additional 15 bids for other trades/subcontractors.

This consultation will give you the confidence to select a qualified builder, negotiate the terms of your contract, and maintain a budget and schedule that work for you.

Full Project Package

Receive 5 months of service commitment that includes a Builder Selection Support package and additional guidance managing the project details such as negotiations, invoicing, and scheduling.

Full Project Package - $9,500 Includes Builder Selection Support Package, project management support to include billing/invoicing, schedule and budget tracking, and weekly (up to two 30-min sessions) project calls.

Premium Project Package - $20,000 Includes Expanded Builder Selection Support Package, project management support to include billing/invoicing, schedule and budget tracking, and weekly (up to four 30-min sessions) project calls. This service also includes up to 2 quality/schedule review site visits.

This consultation will provide you with full-service expertise from start to finish and take the burden of managing the details out of your hands.

Builder / Construction Management Services

We are able to offer full Construction Management services to select clients in the Central Ohio area. We are able to provide a proposal for our services delivering a complete project with transparent up-front price for a flat fee (fixed charge) rather than a percentage-based or lump sum contract. What this means is the cost to have us build your project is set up front, and all construction bids are open and shared, with no markups or hidden costs. Pricing is based on project size, complexity, and duration, not dollar amount.
